I used almost every online whiteboard out there

Some days ago, I’d written about why I don’t prefer virtual whiteboards. But since then, I have been really interested in these and tried out everything I found interesting. Provided it had a free plan, of course. Have listed my experiences with these below.

Explain Everything: Primarily designed for teachers, this is a good app for presentations.

AWW App: It did the job well but was a bit slow. Has a cute name, though.

RealtimeBoard/ Miro: A bit costly for smaller teams, seems like an ideal app for bigger ones.

SketchBoard: Not a very great interface, but impressive Slack integration.

Groupboard: If a small company is okay with sacrificing the UI a bit, this is a great tool.

GroupMap: Having over 60 designed templates, this makes the work really simple for you.

Ziteboard: Simple, with no qualms, that’s all I can say of this.

Limnu: Similar to Explain Everything, this is designed for teachers, and gave a slightly smoother experience.

Stormboard: I was a little disappointed with the price but I guess it is worth the features it offers.

LiveBoard: Started out with a good discount during the pandemic, this gave a really smooth experience.

Milanote: The only downside is that it lacks some third party integrations. But it’s really smooth to use and makes the work really fun. Probably the smoothest in the list.

WebBoard: Just open and start whiteboarding. This is super fun and interactive.

Invision Freehand: Except for a few lags here and there, Invision kept up to its name of being remote first through this product.

Depending on your need, the best and worst for you is probably going to be different. Some other tools you can check out are also listed here. Have a great time whiteboarding!
